*** A rare Thomas Webb oval cameo glass plaque, by George Woodall, Circa 1900, the cameo carved with Venus rising out of the sea with a winged putto and seagulls on amethyst glass, mounted in a beaded frame with scroll supports on a red griotte marble rectangular base, etched signature 'Geo Woodall' to cameo, small chip to reverse, the plaque 10 cm wide, 15.5 cm high, including stand 21 cm high, Note: A similar example was sold as lot 191 on 5 June 2007 by Sotheby's London for £18,000. ***
*** A Rene Lalique opalescent, frosted and stained glass 'Ceylan' vase, designed 1924, moulded with budgerigars and stylised foliage, heightened with blue staining, wheel engraved R. Lalique France and etched N. 905, 24 cm high. Reference: Marcilhac no. 905. ***
*** A Daum Nancy cameo glass lamp, decorated with an Autumn landscape, the shade inscribed 'Daum Nancy' with Croix de Lorraine, the base with Croix de Lorraine, with restoration to base, 40 cm high. ***
*** An important 18inch six layer cameo carved vase entitled 'DAG', by Tony Hanning, blown by David Hay signed and dated, 35.5 cm high Tony Hanning was the first contemporary Australian glass artist to work extensively with the techniques of cameo glass. 'Cameo glass' originally referred to the style of 19th century French glass designers such as Emile Gallé and Daum. The technique, originally developed in ancient Rome, was revived in Britain, Europe and America in the late nineteenth century. ***
