*** A New Zealand colonial chest, solid mottle top, sides and front, tophat drawer with pair small drawers either side and three graduated full width drawers below, rounded front corners, deep thumbnail top edge, original metal handles and plinth base. Width 120 cm depth 53 cm height 133 cm A rare NZ mottled kauri chest in excellent original condition. ***
*** A Victorian period walnut writing table of oblong shape with rounded ends, thumbnail moulded top edge, carved, turned and fluted legs with original large white china casters, two drawers on one side the beautifully tooled green leather top. Length 175 cm, width 87.5 cm, height 74.5 cm ***
*** The Francis Liardet military travel trunk. The mahogany trunk with inlaid name plaque 'Capt. FRANs Liardet' to the hinged lid and further brass strapping to the corners etc, brass swing side handles. Height 49 cm length 76 cm depth 50.5 cm Note: Liardet entered the Royal Navy aged 12 in 1809, made Commander In1838 and Post Rank in 1840. He was the NZ Land Company agent in New Plymouth, coming out in 1841 on the Whitby. Est. $4000 ***
