Signed to the double centre page by 62 of the 275 invited guests, mainly Test players, including the 1930 Australians and 14 former England captains, signatures include Don Bradman, Stan McCabe, Bill Woodfull, Clarrie Grimmett, Bill Ponsford, Bert Oldfield, Lord Hawke, C.B.… ***
*** 1888 First British Rugby Tour Abroad: Rare ticket, the ealiest known rugby ticket, 'Association Cricket Ground, Saturday 4th August 1888. Return, International Football Match, England v N.S.Wales. The Members of the English and N.S.Wales Teams request the pleasure of Company at their Return Match. Complimentary'. Together with a Nsw 'Waratah' cloth badge from the game. Good condition. [The first British Rugby Team to tour abroad made an unofficial tour to Australia and New Zealand.… ***

*** Harry Cavanough's 1926 NSW Cap, blue velvet, wire embroidered 'N.S.W.R.F.L/ (Kangaroo)/ 1926' on front, and with tassle on top, made by J.Pearson of Sydney, endorsed 'Cavanough' on label. [Harry Cavanough played 31 games for Newtown 1921-24; 49 games for Souths 1925-28 (all Premiership years); and 12 interstate games for Nsw 1926-28]. ***

Superb condition and extremely rare. [2 months earlier, Australia had won the rugby tournament at the 1908 London Olympics] ***
*** Harry Cavanough's Newtown Cap, blue velvet, wire embroidered 'N.D.R.L.F.C/ (N in shield)/ 50 C.M' on front, and with tassle on top, made by J.Pearson of Sydney, endorsed 'H. Cavanough' on label. '50 C.M' probably refers to 50 club matches (counting 1sts & 2nds matches). Together with a RP team postcard by Melba Studios, endorsed 'Newtown 1sts, 1918, Runners-Up in City Cup', with most of the players wearing honour caps.… ***
*** 1992 Australian Rugby League Jersey, with badge on left breast with embroidered Australian Coat-of-Arms and ‘Australian Rugby League/International series 1992’, with number ‘9’ on reverse. Very good condition. Ex Great Britain's Martin Dermott. ***
