*** 18th Century London Longcase clock, circa 1750s, silvered and gilt dial marked ‘John Willats, London’, 8 day five pillar movement with anchor escapement. Dial displays a 'Strike/Silent' selector, date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial with the original brass sheathed weights, pendulum and winders. Clock encased in a superior quality burr walnut with original finials. The finest example of it’s type seen by the collector/vendor. Includes original winder and key. 240 x 48 x 24 cm ***
*** 17th/18th Century Walnut Longcase clock, silvered dial marked ‘William Gill, Hasting’. It is believed that this case was produced between 1689 and 1694 and the movement updated circa 1795 to an 8 day time and strike movement; with original winder and pendulum. 206 x 41 x 23 cm ***
