*** Pair George I Walnut Open Elbow Chairs pierced vase shaped splats, floral and leaf carved top rail, arms and knees on cabriole legs on claw and ball feet ***
*** Pair of Chippendale Period Mahogany Dining Chairs with rococo and acanthus leaf serpentine top rails elaborate pierced and open scrolling vase shaped splat on square fluted legs joined by an 'H' stretcher excellent colour and patination (possibly Irish) ***

*** Grecian Arm Chair c.1875 This modified Regency Greek revival style kauri armchair may have been intended as a 'carver' for the head of the table. Correctly upholstered in black leather it was more likely to have been a fireside chair for 'the man of the house'. This is a rare and unusual variant of the Greek or Klismos chair more common as a dining chair without arms.… ***

*** Kauri Timber Company Folding Chair c.1910 This simple folding kauri chair was almost certainly made by the Kauri Timber Company in Auckland in the latter part of the 19th C or early part of the 20th C. By this time the company was well established and supplying a large variety of pre-made and ready to assemble furniture together with building supplies. The turnings on this chair are similar to those used on a variety of other furniture items including beds, cots and towel 'airers'.… ***
