*** A West Australian Royal Perth yacht club racing trophy engraved 'R.P.Y.C. Commodores cup 1909 Won by Banshee'. The trophy is silver plated with retailers mark 'Stewart Dawson & Co'. Height 24 cm. Note: the Banshee also has a dark chapter including a tragic murder suicide, which took place 24th December 1909, by the yacht's caretaker, Thomas J. Thomas and the victim, Marian Curedale alias Mary Ann Hardman. ***
