*** Andor Meszaros (1900-1972) A pair of important bronze plaques of Merino's, Australian circa 1920, initialled AM, 41 cm x 40.5 cm. Provenance Australian Wool Corporation, Wool Board House, Parkville. Andor Meszaros was president of the Victorian Sculptors Society 1955-6 and 1962. His most famous commission was for a silver altarpiece at Canterbury Cathedral England and he executed many large commissions in Australia where he was best known as a sculptor of medallions. ***
