*** An exceptional fine quality 19th century Meissen clock set, the clock decorated in an attractive rococo manner with cherubs representing the four seasons and overall with flowers, the candlesticks of pleasant proportion and decorated with playful cherubs, the bases profusely embellished with flowers, birds and insects, the three pieces in excellent condition with some minor chips to the flowers. *** A fine Australian silver centrepiece by William Edwards (1870), marked kangaroo / W.E. / Emu, Walsh & Sons, Melbourne, the circular base decorated with rocks and blackboys, three warring aboriginals, two kangaroos and an emu centred around a tree fern which is entwined with grapevine and grapes, the fern tree surmounted with an etched and foliated glass bowl, the whole presented on a turned blackwood base. *** An outstanding classical two handled gilded and hand painted Exhibition quality vase, beautifully decorated with an exquisitely painted centre panel depicting a castle in a rural landscape with peasants and cattle by a stone bridge, the reverse panel beautifully painted with a bouquet of exotic flowers. This rococo style vase is beautifully gilded on blue ground and surmounted with an ormolu finial. Height 57 cm ***
*** A fine quality spectacular Louis Philipe Sevres hand painted vase of Grand Proportions, exquisitely painted with a romantic rustic centre panel, depicting a resting couple by a well. This exceptional quality vase decorated both front and reverse, the back being a panoramic lake scene, the vase is base beautifully gilded on blue ground with ormolu base and winged angels to the shoulders surmounted with a gilded cover and acorn finial. *** A large outstanding exhibition quality Japanese carved ivory tusk, the tusk boldly carved in relief with an elephant defending itself from three tigers with a cloud form above the detailing. Finely engraved, the cover mounted with a sitting tiger. A pierced metal band supports the tusk to an equally impressive stand with a pierced bamboo decoration and shaped legs. Signed.
